Thank you everyone for your amazing support and encouragement! It's amazing to know there is so many of you that are concerned and ready to lend advice when I need it the most. I appreciate all of your comments.
So an update. I am still feeling overall yucky (how's that for a medical condition). Basically just very tired and extremely weak. I am forcing myself to eat b/c I am not hungry. Drinking my fluids to flush all those nasty proteins that caused my muscle breakdown out of my system.
I hope to back into the swing of things soon. I had the foresight to schedule myself in house this week for work but I hit the road next week. Hopefully I will be ready.
So this blog until I can get healthy may be sparse but basically about the happenings in my life instead of running. It will change as soon as I can get back into the game.
And I haven't had a chance to say to all my fellow chicago marathoners - congratulations to those who were able to finish! What an amazing accomplishment in such dreadful weather. And I feel for you who were forced to stop. But to everyone looking ahead or had already found a new marathon good for you! I look forward to ready how round 2 works for all of you :)

I am truly sorry. The Chicago marathon was NOT what the experience should be for anybody. I followed your training closely and knew you were ready. Unfortunately, the conditions you had to endure were ridiculously bad. I promise you that when you next go after the marathon you will succeed and be changed in ways only the marathon can change you. I promise.
Wow...hang in there and take care of yourself! I'm so sorry your first marathon experience was on such a hellish day! Have faith that you'll rally and the next attempt will be a truely amazing day!
I love Bill, he always says the greatest things and they're true ;-)
You take care of yourself! And don't worry about yaking about life instead of running . . .I've been doing it for the past 5 weeks or so LMAO!
Hey, congrats to everyone for getting themselves to the START. Marathon readiness is an amazing commitment and feat. You are a winner, girlie.
Keep resting and recover.
Oh yeah, if we can live with Marcy yaking, what's one more? Just kidding, Marc. We love ya both.
Get your rest now because we all expect more running reports later! Hope this experience doesn't turn you off of how great it can be.
Feel better!
I'm glad that you are focusing on getting better right now. You'll get back in the game, but you need this time to recover and let your body get back to normal. Keep us posted.
